P2 - Gari Beidner

When first being assigned a sound project, I was overwhelmed with possibilities. I have not previously used sound editing platforms and was originally unsure of where to start. Once I chose a song, The Sun in Shining by Axwell & Ingrosso, I knew I wanted to create a bit of a mashup. To do this, I then selected other songs that were favorites of mine that I also felt went with the vibe of The Sun is Shining. Once creating this compilation, I added a looped video to the sound. I thought that it was a final project when I showed it in class for I appreciated its simplicity. However, I was told that I should add more to the video… make it more dense and more original! To do this, I started to find short phrases from my favorite shows and movies that I could incorporate into the MP3. I also added another beat to the background. After mashing up I find that my final project is fun, keeps you on your toes, and exciting to listen to. I do find there to me a lot going on in the song, yet I find that to be its uniqueness and resemblance of myself.
