Artist Statement: This sound represents the subject whoever they maybe, on a bike ride. As the audience we do not know where the bike rider is or where they are going. It might mean something different for everyone. For me these were some of the sounds that I heard or encountered when I was exploring Florence for the first time. In this 45 second soundscape I tried to capture the city feel of social life while also including peaceful noises that flood the city. In this soundscape you can experience the sounds of the restoration, enjoyment, and history. The ring of the bike bell happens at random and gives a feeling of grounding ourselves to the exploration of new streets of a new city.
